2022 celebrates the 50th anniversary of Pride, and to mark the event a 50p has been released by The Royal Mint.
Each of the five rainbows in the design are accompanied with part of the inscription, “PRIDE PROTEST VISIBILITY UNITY EQUALITY”. Poignantly released on the 50th anniversary of the first London Pride.
Featuring a colourful rainbow design by LGBTQ+ activist Dominique Holmes, this is the first ever UK coin released to celebrate Pride!
